You should know that the Makasaan station is in a bit of a no mans land and very hard to get anywhere from... You can take the airport link train all the way to Payathai and easily walk to the BTS station link

I love the Makassan station because it's a short walk to the MRT- very convenient for me. Last time I came from Swampy, I got on the first Express and accidentally ended up at Phaya Thai. Got right back on the city line and went back to Makassan.

In fairness, the Express to Makassan doesn't seem to run very often so it may be a long wait. But you'll probably get a car to yourself.

I don't know why they don't just run one train to both city stations- the extra 2 minutes stopping at Makassan doesn't seem like a major inconvenience to Phaya Thai passengers. Anyone clued in on this?

Paid 90 baht from Swampy to Makassan (but ended up on the Phaya Thai train) last week on the express. Keep expecting to pay 150, but only pay 90.

The SRT Express only runs about every 40 minutes and it's 90 baht, last time I took it. Runs almost empty.

City Line is 35 baht, airport to Makkasan, same fare in reverse. Five station stops.

A few years ago I purchased A ticket,I believe back then it was 800 baht.I'm not sure how many rides. But I probably would have bought it at whatever the cost.I can't handle traffic jams.
