Fishermans Friends Cherry+Salt

Featured Replies

OK, that is a bit crazy....

There is this product:

Fischermans Friends

Sugar Free Cherry Flavour Lozenges

I have the bad habit to eat them sometimes.

Taking 2 pcs bite them

take two piece bite them

etc etc

If you than drink some green tea or water or eat anything, everything will taste very salty for hours. Things that don't contain any salt. And not just a little. Strong that you can't swallow it.

It happens after the spicy taste disappears and lasts for hours.

Anyone has an idea what is causing that?

Just interested....

Do you get the same effect if you just let them disolve as opposed to biting them? I use them a lot and have never experienced what you describe but just let them disolve.

I think the main problem is that I go thru one pack in something like 5-10 min....without thinking I grab 2 pcs, bite them....grab 2 piece bite them.

I has something to do with the amount of it. Because I recall that I ate smaller amounts before and never noticed it.

Today I paid more attention: First of all: All I drink seems to be colder. And salty when I swallow it (not as long as I keep it in my mouth, they question would be if really salty is the same, I never paid attention). Than I ate some chicken meat and it also tasted more salty.

Strange....but somehow interesting....
