Thai Nationals Visiting Chile From Thailand

Featured Replies

Anyone know about restrictions or issues with Thai nationals getting visas to visit Chile? Is it problematic or relatively simple?

Thanks

Hello:

I don't mean to be insensitive to your generous google offer, but I don't think the question was how do I find it. I think the question was related to difficulties and knowledge of the process.

Thanks

Dr. B

The Embassy website provided information about "restrictions or issues with Thai nationals getting visas to visit Chile". As Thailand was not marked with a "*", the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not need to process the visa, which means that applicants may not need to wait for up to 3 weeks. Applications from Thais with required documentation should not be problematic.

However, you may be even more fortunate. The Chilean Embassy's website may be out of date as Thailand and Chile have a visa exemption agreement. The Qantas IATA database also indicted this.

I would therefore check with the Embassy of Chile to confirm that Thais do not need to have visas for stays up to 90 days.

Vinny:

I got that information and I do appreciate it, but I guess I was looking for someone with hands-on knowledge, though asking for Chile is a bit of a stretch I realize.

Sorry for my ambiguous wording of my request and thanks for your efforts at helping.

Dr. B.
