Since there are some cringeworthy attempts at feigning injury these days (Aguero trying to pretend that Dawson elbowed him springs to mind), how about a thread for cheat of the week?

Obviously there can be only one winner this week: Chico Flores.

Andy Carroll's swinging arm did irreparable damage to his pony tail, so he responded by falling as if he'd been hit square in the face.

Should be a retrospective punishment for this type of offence, to match the one the ref meted out preferably.

Agreed - For a long time I've found watching these children frustrating. Such talent is spoiled by poor sportsmanship and overacting.

I would like to see some form of 'poor-sportsmanship' penalty for players who have been proven to dive and cheat. This could work in the manner of a post match Yellow card if necessary.

I find rugby a far more enjoyable game to watch simply because the players are sporting professionals, I sometimes wish the football players approached their game with the same attitudes.

indeed. blood capsules, eye gouging, <deleted> grabbing, scrum punching and celebrating with a pint of your and your team-mates' vomit. rugby's ace.

Not the first time for Chico, and I remember Fat Sam laughing at him earlier this season when he was trying to pull an injury out of his hat.

But, you could lump Chico in with how many other players who pull the same shit ? Its an epidemic.bah.gif

I am a West Ham supporter so biased.

Carroll was clearly running the show in the first half and Swansea had to find a way of stopping him.

This must have been what they decided at half time. Get him sent off.

Shameful.

Players like Chico have no place in The Premier league and it would be better off without him and players like him and Managers who condone it.

I agree, just thought it would be fun to highlight the biggest tosser of the week.

Serial cheating award goes to Yaya Toure for tonight's fine and subtle theatricals!

There's no doubt in my mind that managers and coaches do condone it. The diving and theatricals are carried out TOO well for it not to be rehearsed beforehand.

Well it's been a facet of Latin football since as far back as I can remember, and that's quite a while.

Obviously over the years it's cross-pollinated into other leagues.

The appeal has been rejected and the red card upheld. So not only did they make a clear error, they have chosen to compound it in the face of the evidence.
