Featured Replies

Has anyone had this form of 'massage' and did they get good results?

Can anyone recommend a place to go for it in Bangkok?

Thanks,

I think it gets mentioned in the same circles as Bowen but I'm not sure if they are similar?

Do you know about bowen?

I don't think we are allowed to post links here but if you look on the saveyourself website there are some detailed articles trigger points.

Its related to myofascial pain syndrome if you are familiar with that?

From Wikipedia:

Trigger points, also known as trigger sites or muscle knots, are described as hyperirritable spots in skeletal muscle that are associated with palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibers.[1]

The trigger point model states that unexplained pain frequently radiates from these points of local tenderness to broader areas, sometimes distant from the trigger point itself.
