Honda click tyre pressure

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a 2012 125i with stock IRC tyres - labels bit damaged so is it 29 psi front 33 rear?

Bit surprised that pressure wouldn't be different when 2 people on?

Thanks

In theory, it should be different by 1 or 2 psi. But even typical usage can justify an adjustment, if highway, bumpy roads, etc.

In practice, due to the failure to use pressure gauges, and the fact that you can't adjust pressure every time you carry a passenger or don't, Honda knows better and indicates one single pressure - simple, easy and safe.

What I did notice is that 2013/4 click seemed to indicate different pressures, but I thought tyres were the same?!

I usually put a little extra to allow for air escape i.e,33 front and 35 rear. .If you get a puncture the Thai shop will just pump air in to the max without using a gauge .Typically 55 plus .So after getting a repair always check what pressure they have put in .You can buy an air pressure gauge at Tesco/Lotus etc for B100 aprox .
