Several people including myself would like to open sub forums on various topics such as recipes and bread making.

Is there a moderator or can we do it ourselves?

Cheers

There is no local moderator for this forum.

If there is person that is regular participant that you and others would reccomend that is willing to do it their name could be sent to admin by PM for consideration as one.

You could submit your suggestions for a sub forum or pinned topics the same way.

I am on line most days for a couple of hours around lunchtime but I have no idea of what or how to do things on a forum.

I'm up to help out too, but as with Bill not really sure what it all entails

As an ex serviceman I was always taught 2 things.

1 A volunteer is worth 10 pressed men.

2 when volunteers are told take two paces forwards the really smart guys take two paces backwards.

I'm a smart guy.

How about you? thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

Be warned billd767, those who have tried in the past to moderate the Western Food forum have found it so tempting that they soon ended up in the "I am too fat" forum.smile.png.pagespeed.ce.CwSpBGGvqN.png

Too late Harry. I am already too fat but skip the shame of that forum.

Shall one or both of us try for it?

Shall one or both of us try for it?

I think both of us should give it a go....you know how rowdy this foodie crowd gets!

I just want to say I've always admired both of your posting styles immensely. ;-)

Even we global-mods cannot create sub-fora, that's down to Admin.

If you think there's a market for a sub, start a thread here with your suggestion and asking for support, if it's deemed popular enough then it will be created for you.

EDIT Nobody in their right mind would actually volunteer to be a mod, it's usually a punishment for upsetting forum Admin.

Discussing Moderation is not allowed on TV :)

I vote for Smokie to be the the food mod though if we could discuss it.

Or a combination of Jingy Thingy and Smokie, with a side of The Blether.

OK lets do that.

Don't tell anybody we will be splitting the 100,000 baht a month moderators salary or they all want to be mods.

Hopefully at least one of us will be awake part of the time.

Since he is American I think.

Did we get our moderator yet?....I'm looking forward to some mouthwatering threads!

I would prefer food....not really into threads.

I guess by the overwhelming number of candidates with such outstanding qualities the choice has to be made by somebody.

I will go back to post #2 by ubonjoe and throw my hat into the ring.

Dorset Apple cake is nice.

There is also Dorset Blue Vinney for the cheese aficianados amongst you

and of course the Dorset Knob

There is something about nibbling on a Dorset 'Knob' I find somewhat disturbing!

.....I think i need a stiff drink to calm my nerves (better than a stiff Dorset Knob I guess)

Guess a Dorset Knob cannot match a Spotty dick.post-64834-0-71027800-1393208057_thumb.j
