Teens should spend Valentine in temples: Thai official

Well, yes, that is where those girls are safe.

Is this monk with Learjet and Rolls-Royce back in town to give a speech on immaculate conception. During this time I suggest to keep those men of the cloth which are in the process of being defrocked anytime soon as soon as there is someone filing a complaint for sexual misconduct - at bay in the opposite corner of the sala.

Must be the Ministroy of Pre-Jesus-Christ-Affairs which blubbers such B/S. And to all those youngsters out there, enjoy Valentine wherever you want and should it happen then ensure having condoms on hand.

Good luck the government did not explicitly prohibit intercourse on Valentine - or any other day for that matter - just yet!

if thai mentality is to keep the kids stupid about sex, than you get figures like this

sadly, my wife is one of those stupids that thinks talking about sex, condoms, prevention, would be faciliating sex... as she has a uni degree from chula (not that she is so smart, as it is in geographics, loooooooooooooool)

"Dr. Ponthep added that surveys also pointed to younger age in which Thai teenagers experienced their first sexual intercourse, from 18-19 year old in 1996 to 13-15 year old in 2012."

This statistic seems suspect - if anything, more provincial girls would have been sold into marriage at age 13-15 back then than is currently the fashion?? Or are they sold into prostitution now instead of good old Thai marriage?

Nah - temples have extensive grounds, quiet corners and are deserted.

Try a protest site instead - much more effective at atrophying libido.

Surprised that Suthep has not thought of this as a way to boost numbers public service.

Oops - update - he has, well done him.

Attending the demos in the 60s ensured I always had lots of nubile young females to go home with.

Ah....but those were the days of free love, Harry! Unfortunately that doesn't exist in Thailand. wink.png

Can't leave people to decide for themselfs to observe the religeous holiday or not that coincides with Valentine day.

While they're at it, why not a law that only fish can be eaten or served on fridays.

Are Clams (speculated Aphrodesiac) considered Fish, or will they also ban that on fridays if they enacted that rule? cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif
