They should have just sold their rice to the brokers at the market price at harvest time. +1. Virtually everyone around here (Udon) did just that, inc. my missus. As she said at the time, if it's too good to be true, it probably aint (true). In fact i do not know of anyone up here who has taken part in the scheme. Everyone just sold their rice at the normal prices it's been for a few years, and everyone got paid on the day. Maybe the millers cashed in, dunno...
