is it now decriminalized and legal to hold and use?

how common a plant is it?
how easy to find spot and see in the country, wild, nature?

i seem to see many plants with similar looking leaves

or is it just a very common look?

Very common in the south when visiting a friend's house in a village around 15km from Phattalung we were proudly shown the tree growing in his back garden and invited to chew a leaf or too. He also had some clear water kratom tea - can't say it did much for me and I threw away the leaves he gave me on the way back to the airport. I have some videos which I will upload shortly and share. There is a big crossover with the Lao Khao drinkers and the kratom folk methinks.

A couple of days I saw in TV the police telling that the protesters have narcotics on the place and showed kratom leaves. So I don't think it is legal, yet.
