Can not type using the blue keys - for example the question mark.

Keyboard stuck on the alternate keys - in red. Windows help no help at all.

Must be something really simple - like me I guess !!!

Any ideas

Thanks

turn keyboard upside down and flat. Drop it on the desk from about 10 cm. Repeat and test. This often dislodges sticking keys. It is the shock that does it.

Maybe I did not explain properly ...

It is like the keys are stuck in upper case - alternate characters - some are in blue on the keys, like the question mark - some are in red, like the letters with the extras - example ÉÉÉ

This is where it is stuck - I can not get it to go back to the blue color on the same key - the question mark in the example above.

I'm not understanding either, my keys are not coloured.

Could it be a stuck 'shift' key perhaps, try a different keyboard.

Anyway, have you tried a re-boot? Fixes so many issues it's scary.

EDIT I see you have the solution, I wonder what it was.

I think you will find your shift key is not working correctly.

Bring up the virtual keyboard and use this with the mouse. If it works correctly your problem is with the physical keybord. With a physical keyboard the method i mentioned often works.(as long as it is not built into a laptop)

Thanks Harrry and Crossy.

My keyboard - the whole computer - has three colors on some keys.

White is english text, blue is signs like /// and ???

Also have red which is like ééé and ÉÉÉ

The funny e letters are all on the same key with the / and ?

But figured it out - finally. Won't forget it either - the school or hard knocks !!!

Soak your keyboard overnight in dishwater.

Robert will resume his place in your life as your dad's brother.

Please ignore this......it is rubish. A product of water on the brain probably.

Thank you Harry for warning TVers away from my dishwater thingie.

I admit to having failed to consider the literalist sector of TV's readership.

Well done :-)))

Yup, very effective when it's Coke or coffee in the keyboard, best to take it apart first, and vital to ensure it's completely dry before powering on.
