The little one likes her cartoons and we are thinking of how she can watch them in the car, does anyone have experience of a tablet or other player that can play movie files? Mostly mp3 mp4 etc so a DVD player isn't what we are looking for.

Should be super simple to do - get a cheap local tablet & download the cartoons onto it. Probably get quite a few onto a 16gb tablet, then change as required.
