MJP
The 20 blade iris Tair-11A. The 15 blade iris Meyer Optik Orestor. The 12 blade iris Jupiter-11A. All three M42 mount primes have a 135mm focal length. The first two offer f/2.8 and the Jupiter f/4 maximum aperture. Three Kings of Bokeh. But which reigns supreme? Here's a test. Set-up on a tripod. Wide open. Defocused. Using a ball of fairy lights as the source. MJP
And the winner is...? Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app I think the Tair has more wow but the Jupiter is stunning for an f/4 and only £35. Tonight's test will be the CZJ DDR 50/1.8 Electric, CZJ DDR Sonnar 135/3.5 and Meyer Optik Gorlitz Orestegor 200/4.
FracturedRabbit
That's good, I have both! (Or at least I will have once the Tair arrives).

The Jupiter 11 or the 11A? http://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/jupiter-11a-4-135-135mm-f4.html Just testing a Meyer Optik Gorlitz Orestegor 4/200. Disappointingly poor contrast, not sharp, bokeh decent. Probably going to sell on. Edited March 8, 2014 by MJP
FracturedRabbit
The 11 in Kiev mount, the 11A would not fit anything that I have. Edited March 8, 2014 by astral Removal of long quote - Please use Reply button a the bottom

MJP
Meyer Optik Gorlitz Orestor 135/2.8 stopped down to f5.6, on financially crippling tripod and head . . . check out the crop!!!
MJP
More from the Meyer 200/4. It is a tricky beast to use is this.
FracturedRabbit
Can you use an M42 adapter on the EM-1? Of course. And an M39, and almost anything else. The joy of a short flange distance. Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app

Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app It's the main reason I went with Pentax. The registry distance is good for all old K-mount and any M42 lens. Throw in the 5-axis in camera shale reduction and you're good to go. Getting heavy though Rabbit, all this gear. Although on that note, the Meyer Optik 135/2.8 and the CZJ DDR 135/3.5 are exceedingly light.

MJP
First tripod effort with the Meyer Optik Gorlitz Oretegor 300mm f/4. More on the 2.2kg Gorzilla later when I really get the chance to use it. Gorzilla just ate a PU-70 Arca Swiss plate. Just had to order new ones. Anyway . . . at ISO 800 and f/11 . . .
