Nephritis: kidney transplant or dialysis?

My wife and I live in the UK.

My wife's twin sister has nephritis. (see here).

My wife has offered to donate a kidney, but her sister is currently saying no as she fears it will put my wife's life at risk.

However, on the assumption that we can persuade her, can anyone give us an approximate cost of this. My sister in law lives in Bangkok.

How about dialysis? Her doctors have said that at the moment it isn't necessary; but will be soon. She's going for more tests tomorrow (Monday). Anyone know the costs of this.

I'm asking here because she wont tell; saying we shouldn't spend our money on her.
