My wife and I are hoping to learn Thai and we would appreciate any recommendations for a good language school or tutor in NW Phuket ( Cherngtalay / Thalang).

I will answer my own question... I did not find a language school in Cherngtalay but I did find one in Surin: The Andaman Language School which is a branch of another school in Patong.

My wife and I have been attending for a few weeks and have been enjoying the lessons so far. We have found our interactions with locals to be so much better, even with our limited knowledge (and even though we probably sound like two year old Thai children given our tiny vocabulary and poor grammar at this point ).
