Martial Arts In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

I post this topic because I want to know what my chances are for being able to leave Holland, where I live, and be a martial arts instructor in Bangkok. My wife still lives in Thailand due to immigrationproblems in Holland (it's near impossible nowadays to enter the coutry, even when married with kids), and frankly I'm sick of it all and want to leave the country asap. I speak decent Thai, English and Dutch (native), and I'm currently working on my Spanish. So language barriere should be small.

I study traditional kungfu here from age 13 and have several years of teaching experiece. I'm interested in teaching a blend of kungfu with boxing. I guess it's close to Sanda, but emphasizes on self defence like kungfu does. In short it's kungfu without the typical stances and fists like tiger and crane.

Anybody interested or anyone with some info for me, please let me know. Note I don't live in Thailand (yet).

you might try your luck with the dance centre of arts, or something like that. they are on sukhumvit soi33 and besides dancing also host aikido lessons, tai chi and sometimes more interesting stuff. They might be able to create a class for you. if you are still interested, react to this, I send you a contact email address from there.
