April 8 I am scheduled for Arthroscopy, shoulder, surgical; decompression of subacromial space with partial acromioplasty, with coracoacromial ligament. Basically removal of bone spurs possibly some of the bursa.

Yes I had another bicycle accident 5 months ago. Rest, light exercise, one cortisone shot and anti-inflammatory (Acoxcia) have not helped. I have remained active. although I am unable to do bench presses and dips, these seem to cause the most pain. The result being a lot of muscle atrophy. I am hoping that having remained active my recovery will be shortened.

I never realized how many motions the shoulder controls.

If anyone has experience with this type of surgery, please let know how it went.

Thanks

May be of interest.

The surgeon will guide your recovery process but generally speaking early mobilisation of the shoulder will be encouraged.

My surgeon is very optimistic. Since it is my shoulder and not his, I posed this question to see if any Thai Visa members had the same surgery.

Thanks for the link

As a direct response, yes I have experienced some very extensive shoulder surgery !

Not the same procedure but within 6 weeks I was exercising with light weights !
