hotmail contact?

Featured Replies

I have had a hotmail account since 1997. Now it asks for a code they sent me to sign in with, when I enter the code nothing happens at all so can no longer log in. I have looked for an email contact but cannot see any, is there a solution ?

Could indeed be a long process (30 days to be precise)

Friend had 2 step authentication activated back in the Uk. Primary to receive codes was his UK mobile number, but after he moved to Thailand he tossed his UK number and wanting to access his email he had to go through the process of losing his way of receiving codes (which was his UK phone number) and this process (believe it or not) takes 30 days.

Thats one of the reasons why i have added 3 phone numbers + the Google authenticator app to both my Hotmail and Gmail accounts, so in case I lose a phone number or phone I still have backups.

Good Luck

Thinking about this, if you didnt add this ? Did you ? Then maybe your account has been hacked

Yes. This too is a long process. Asks many questions... eg. subject lines of emails, email addresses in contacts, frequently sent/received email addresses.

etc etc.

But keep on at it, you can succeed!

I helped 3 friends to recover their email accounts in this manner.

Good luck to you, indeed.
