She also brought cheese curds and liquorice and if you can believe I asked for Swiss Chalet gravy mix and she brought St Hubert I almost left her at the airport. Had a good feed of salt cod, not sure you mainlanders squired a taste for that ?

Cold Storage sells Clamatoe juice in Singapore although it is hit and miss which outlet has it on a particular day. They have a reliable online delivery which has not let me down.

If you've ever been to George Street in St. John's we'll tell you we don't have cod anymore - be prepared it's a very long story so we've adjusted and use lobster often, hell after a bottle of screech we may even make you kiss the back end of a dog.

As a Seattle native, I spent more weekends in BC than in my home country.

I think the only reason I moved to Thailand was because I couldn't afford Whistler weekends anymore.

When I go back home to visit, it's a quick "hello" to the family, and then off to BC for Nanaimo Bars and snowboarding!

Add me to the Canuck list. I grew up in the lotusland of the west coast. Tried living back east, but froze my butt off and returned to the west.

I'd agree that soccer is a girl's game, but ashamed to admit that curling is even more so. I never figured out the attraction to that.

Gotta admit, that things are so much different than anywhere else!

It's not that cold, in St. John's in August we broke 30 degrees almost daily.

That would be 10 degrees at breakfast time, 10 at lunch and 10 degrees around supper time.

Why don't I live in Canada? Aside from the warm climate of Thailand, Canada is in serious trouble.

A bar on every corner! As a young hitch hiker I remember it well, never paid for a hotel room the whole week i was there. That was the 70's, not sure how it is now but I hope the hospitality is still the same.

I'm not Canadian. It wouldn't suprise me if Canucks do well...I've always considered Canadians so much politer and less arrogant than many other countries. More down to earth.
