It seems to me that there is a sizable Canadian contigent here on TV. We are not a flag waving crowd here it must be said,and that's fine; Yes i have a flag; anyone else from the east? Just thought I would open a thread to say hello to all you people from Gods country. A couple topics for discussion:

Looks like not much chance the stanley cup will headi north this year. whats the best pay site to watch the playoffs with minimal latency?

Would you agree that soccer is at the end of the day a girls game?

Have any expats embraced other sports? Aus rules and cricket for me.

I have a source for clamatoe juice in Singapore if anyone wants some.

Do you agree that we do better with the local ladies then seems to be the norm in Thailand?

How often do you go home?

I've was watching the playoffs a bit via tunnel bear. Since you mentioned hockey I'll be humming the other national anthem (well you know, can't give away too many secrets as some like to pretend they're Canadian and it's how I catch them 55555)

I've been told no more sport as I over dosed with the Olympics and bored the family to near death I know I'll be addicted to the World Cup and missing a cold moose head. What need do you miss the most ? for me it's Mossehead and Rickards Red.

My sister knows I love Caesars and brought those little tetra pack thingys, they didn't last long would love your contact for clamato. She also brought cheese curds and liquorice and if you can believe I asked for Swiss Chalet gravy mix and she brought St Hubert I almost left her at the airport. Had a good feed of salt cod, not sure you mainlanders squired a taste for that ?

I think we're heading home in June, we wanted earlier but other family obligations popped up.

I''ve heard from the Embassy they believe there are 4000 of us here full time, wouldn't a Timmy's be fantastic ?

My grand parents are from Deer Lake, I was brought up in NS. The island jokes i tell are all PEI.

Cold Storage sells Clamatoe juice in Singapore although it is hit and miss which outlet has it on a particular day. They have a reliable online delivery which has not let me down.

Wow; black and red liquorice, a blast from the past which i have not thought about for ages! I'll trade you a litre of Motts for a bag of it.

Since you've got blood from Deer Lake no need to screech you in then, that's always a laugh here with a tilapia. Toby Jug pub used to have a plaque with the Ode to Newfoundland on the wall, sadly it closed down but the owner was always up for screeching in any Canadians.

If you've ever been to George Street in St. John's we'll tell you we don't have cod anymore - be prepared it's a very long story so we've adjusted and use lobster often, hell after a bottle of screech we may even make you kiss the back end of a dog.

As a Seattle native, I spent more weekends in BC than in my home country.

I think the only reason I moved to Thailand was because I couldn't afford Whistler weekends anymore.

When I go back home to visit, it's a quick "hello" to the family, and then off to BC for Nanaimo Bars and snowboarding!

Ive worked in canada and loved it too

pity its so cold but thats why whisky was invented

across the road from my old job we found a " hotel " by accident one day

walked into the bar to have food and a beer at breaktime and there was strippers dancing around poles and porn on the tvs above the bar at LUNCHTIME + a few pool tables

god how I loved canada when i was there ,id go back if i wasnt so lazy and used to the thai weather now

Add me to the Canuck list. I grew up in the lotusland of the west coast. Tried living back east, but froze my butt off and returned to the west.

I'd agree that soccer is a girl's game, but ashamed to admit that curling is even more so. I never figured out the attraction to that.

Gotta admit, that things are so much different than anywhere else!

It's not that cold, in St. John's in August we broke 30 degrees almost daily.

That would be 10 degrees at breakfast time, 10 at lunch and 10 degrees around supper time.

A bar on every corner! As a young hitch hiker I remember it well, never paid for a hotel room the whole week i was there. That was the 70's, not sure how it is now but I hope the hospitality is still the same.

I'm not Canadian. It wouldn't suprise me if Canucks do well...I've always considered Canadians so much politer and less arrogant than many other countries. More down to earth.
