Kf6vci Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hi All I found this information on the internet. Would have thought the figure is nearer 50 grams. What else is in an egg besides protein?!?? Certainly not that much fiber. I'm stymied.
robblok Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Fat, but the larger part is protein. The rest is water of course. The total grams of an egg do not have be exactly divided into fats / proteins and carbs as there is water in it too as there is in all foods. 1
Kf6vci Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Found the analysis with Google. About 11% protein in egg white / 16 in the yellow yolk. Mostly water... The 6% is a pretty accurate estimate.
