Phuket police praised as excellent and inspiring

Does this include the "top cop" who is working his ass off and too busy for the last 6 months to sign the extradition papers to return the wife killer Mike the Pom from Indonesia.

Or the Officer moved out over the Region Eight Volunteer 'Misunderstanding' (you know the one, where any farang speaks to a volunteer cop pays an extra 20k) But that turned out to be miss communication and poor Engrish, he's now moved back, oh hang on I may be getting mixed up with The Tuk Tuk blokcade, but that was also a misunderstanding lol...

Oh I know, its like 'Who's line is it anyway'

Possibly so that they are doing a good job and are inspiring.

He could follow up the praise by announcing the creation of a citizens police review committee made up of ordinary citizens and long term foreign residents. This group could issue an annual "Report Card" on the police departments performance.

Then he could present to the citizens and visitors a comprehensive, public report that would outline in detail:

Officer activity by calendar quarter (hours spent on patrol, processing cases, time in station, etc)

Details of crimes by calendar quarter

Breakdown by city area where crimes are occurring and what type

Details of crimes solved

Total number of arrests broken down by crime

Percentage of each type crime that results in an arrest

Average response time and arrival times of calls for service

Patrol statistics by city area

Total number of calls from the public for service

Number of case reports taken

A matrix of patrol areas and crime analysis for each area

Etc.

A novel concept and it could possibly add a bit more credibility concerning the police officers performance.

Why, are you people so negative?

It seems the police are trying to do something good and have been praised.

Did you prefer them to do nothing, so you could bash them in greater force?

Oh look...a believer

One could say..Oh look...a nonbeliever.

You point is taken, but lacks substance.
