Further to my last post:

I'm seeing a pattern with any thread regarding Thaksin or family (for a few years now).

We're going around in circles.

Arguments are repeated again and again.

No one is 'changing sides', everyone is frustrated.

Personally I'm bored of reading people's posts defending the systematic pillaging of Thailand (in my opinion of course), and almost as bored posting logical arguments which fall upon deaf ears.

So, I'm going to stop wasting my breath and my time.

Seriously people, no one is changing sides here!

Maybe it's time for me to accept other peoples opinions, even if I know they're wrong

You judge Oak harshly because his father is wealthy. Well, here's a news flash: So is my father. Does this automatically make me a "bad" person? Is it Oak's fault that his father loves him and took care of him? I appreciate that many westerners have difficulty with the concept of taking care of children and of parents, but this is a large component of Thai culture.

No. Many years of being in Thailand's epicentre of tourist ripoffs, Patong. It was sometimes amusing to see these foreigners perched on a bar stool at 10 am as I went about my business. I will say, that the foreigners who are gainfully occupied in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Udon etc. dress in a different manner.

Anyone who has a respectable Thai partner/spouse/girlfriend/friend usually receives wardrobe guidance and is not allowed to leave the home looking like a resident of the Sally Ann residence.

This guy was the catalyst on the so called war on drugs after getting caught with drugs in his systems.Any remember he was also the official photographer at the asean meeting a few years ago after daddy bought him he world most expensive camera at the time..Nothing but a dropkick in my book.

Oak was also awarded the exclusive advertising contract with MRT subway, while Dad was PM, with his newly formed How Come company despite the company being brand new and with no previous advertising experience.

Added to the charge-sheet is that fact that Abhisit connives with the criminal Suthep, who advocates kidnapping the PM, demonising the Shinewatras, and an extreme policy of opposing democracy.

As a result, I would place Abhisit in the Thai pantheon of political criminals down there with the fascist Phubul, the corruptest-of-the-corrupt Sarit, and the infamous book-burner Thanin.

This fellow Oak seems not to have commited any such crimes from what I can gather. He seems to support democracy.
