Buses to Suvarnibhumi airport from Samrong or Bearing

Featured Replies

Hi, i keep seeing info about buses going from airport to sukhumvit but not the other way around!...i assume they do??!

I'm trying to find out if the buses go from Bearing or Samrong Imperial (big C) to the airport...& if so, where do they stop?...i understand they are the 552, 552A?

I may go from On nut if it's easier to find buses....does anybody know how long the bus 550 takes from On Nut to the airport?

I'll be travelling around 7am, if this makes a difference.

I'd appreciate any help with this! ...even BTM only illustrate buses from the airport to sukhumvit!

Many thanks :)

552 doesn't run anymore, for some 2 years nearly. 550 doesn't really help you that much either. There are also vans which do similar routes to the BMTA buses.

The AOT website has the info on the buses that do run, http://suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/119-bus-bmta

Honestly, if you are originating from Samrong then you should really just take a taxi. Is it worth the hassle and potentially missing a flight just to save 100-120 baht?

Actually the 552 DOES run...but you obviously don't need to know about it it for the sake of 100-120 baht!

This is clearly NOT my sort of forum!

Calm down, calm down, Newbie.

Lakegeneve provided you with a link and his opinion as to the potential benefits of a cheap taxi fare.

Hardly unwelcoming. Grow some thicker skin tonight and come back tomorrow.

I am more than happy to be corrected, it is most important that correct info is available for others on this forum.

However, the 551, 552, 559 were all suspended 2.5 yrs ago. (And the 556 was changed to Makkasan not the airport). Perhaps, the 552 was restarted recently if what you state is correct. It is also not listed on the link I provided but then AOT websites are rarely up to date.

In any event, you seem to have enough knowledge about the buses to work it out.

550 did not run to Sukh all the time. Its still there-as van, but runs to bangkapi.

552 DOES run-peak hours only(sorry, dont know from what time) as VAN and nonstop (does not make much sense-they fill up at Onnut-parking lot beside the tesco) then run as fast as can to swampy-mainly workers. ALL set down at the BUSterminal.

From Sam Rong its also van-and with luck you may hit one with spare seat-553A-but its abundant clearly labelled in english too-not too often.

The normal 553 runs via Theparuk rd.-also van only. As you know if you live there-terrible jams due to extension BTS being built.

The comp running thse buses lost a dozen or so from them in a fire in the garage last year.

As BIG bus its the 558-which comes OFF the ex-way at bang na, does thus NOT serve any BTS stop-but stops along Bang na trat rd and runs via the back road along Swampy into the BUSterminal. It starts from Ram 2/Ke Ha in far away You can connect into that by using the green 365 ex Sukv rd/SamRong, starts pak nam.
