I did just pick up a Helios 77K-4. This is the K-mount version of this 50/1.8 and is quite rare.

Cannot see the point of this massive 645Z thing. Pentax should have put the effort into sticking a 35mm equivalent sensor in the K-3 instead. Many people have been waiting for a full frame Pentax for many years now.

It look quite beefy, almost Hasselblad like.

The only Pentax I ever owned was an SF-7, couldn't afford the costs of film and processing with my virtually zero knowledge at the time.

Digital is a great thing when you compare what your shots would cost in film and processing.

Second hand Hassies go for around 10K + just for a "basic" body.

Sooner have a 35mm equivalent K-3 plus integrated grip with 10fps and a much better AF system and lenses with less LoCA and PF with SDM that works.

I reckon £15k for a 645z system. But you can use legacy 67 lenses too and they are cheap and many are sharp.

My old Pentax 645 and 67 never looked as good as this! I did love my LS though ...and my earlier SL, SP, ME, MX, 110 .... I don't miss film though.
