5 year Thai car drivers License re newel.

Hi there,

I have to renew my 5 year Thai car drivers license before the The 8th of this month , has there been any change in what is required document wise , or is it just a medical certificate , and a copy of your passport and visa , and filling the form in at the center, what is the cost of the new license please .

You will also need an address verification letter either from immigration or embassy/consulate. Or a yellow book (not sure on that one as it doesn't show on the DLT site) or work permit will also work as address verification.

Your 5-Year license should run out on your birthday ... renew it the day after and you will get 6 years, less a day. Ah the 9th is a public holiday so it would be the following Monday if you want the extra year.

I just renewed my 5 year, got another 6 years (almost), and they were not even interested in my medical certificate. Sukhumvit Area.
