Let's get this straight. This is an administration that won't respect the Constitutional Court's ruling. Chalerm won't budge. Surapong won't budge. And yet they expect to heap charges upon charges on everyone else - including academics - yes, academics - for speaking on a stage. The charge ? Supporting a rebellion.

Pheu Thai is no longer a party. It's a basket case.

Read the headlines, genius. Suthep and his gang plan to invade government offices so they can install their own 'government', lay siege to TV stations, clog up streets, use their guards to hurt people, and conduct countless 'final battles'. It sounds like a little more than 'speaking on a stage'.

Lets get this straight genius - plan to does not make a crime. They need Suthep out the way because they think he is the only one who will stand for their red shirt shananigins - they have a lot to learn about the 10s of millions who will not stand for red opression and violence and scamming any more!

Actually, a plan does. The legal term is "conspiracy".

To the idiots claiming that this is a PTP conspiracy, I draw attention to the fact that has been conveniently ignored.

Guess who was the lead counsel for the prosecution in 2007 for the case against Thaksin Shinawatra and his wife Khunying Pojaman Go on, I dare you. You won't like the answer.

Khun Poonsuk led the team of 5 prosecutors and is credited for securing the conviction in that case.

I anticipate that the usual crowd of PTP bashers will now go into denial mode.

Meaning nothing unless the police have the balls to go bring him in to face the charges. At least YL face the court. What about you Suthep?

He hasn't gut the guts to face his charges. Yingluk is more of a man than this slimy little worm will ever be.

Yingluk probably got was coming to her and she took it like man. Suthep is a coward.

She had no choice.................her daddy from Dubai stood her in the firing line!!!

Geeze, get your facts straight before you continue to look like an idiot. Thaksin is Yingluck's BROTHER and NOT her FATHER.facepalm.gif

I thought to qualify for terrorist, you had to fire RGPs at fuel storage tanks, hotels, blow up power pylons feeding a major metropolitan area or fire grenades into crowds of innocent citizens, time, after time, .......

Well, TIT. smile.png

i am sure you mean RPG!

Suthep is basically charged with standing up against the wrongdoings of the current govt.

Yingluck, on the other hand is being accused of serious abuses of power, and is unable to explain where billions of dollars have gone.

SEE THE DIFFERENCE? Maybe too subtle for you!

There's plenty more coming in her direction, let's see how she handles it.

Unless of course she can explain where the missing money is from the rice scheme.

Did they check their back pockets? Oh there it is, another honest mistake.

Hey Einstein, let us know when they burn down one of these tv stations you are so concerned about. It may be time to drag out all those photos of the red mob burning Bangkok, some people have either forgotten, or are attempting to gloss over the "accomplishments" of their red heroes.

I love the way this pisses you off. Suthep is this, Suthep is that, Suthep is a mouthy unpleasant man. The point you are missing is that even though you are probably right in everything you say, people just keep on coming out to support him. Tell me when you saw red shirts lining up to give Jatuporn money, doesn't happen, he has to hand out money. What would these demonstrations look like with a popular, respected man at the helm, twice as large, three times? As for guts, you condemn him? He has marched through the streets, accessible to the people, he has made speeches on stage, a target for snipers, he has more guts than brains and who are you to judge his bravery.

Perhaps you mean one of these guys, oh, wait a minute, wasn't it these guys who were supposed to be "burning down Bangkok"?

Red shirt protesters try to put out a fire as the violence in central part of the city escalates on May 15, 2010 in Bangkok, Thailand.

You forgot to say that after reading the headlines you'd need to do some cut and paste to be able to suggest all you put in a single sentence.

Of course I will avoid the discussion on the total reliability of headlines and the diminishing need to read more than those.

Bravery? He's far from showing bravery save that rhetoric for genuine acts of bravery where it matters on the battle field.

He has a huge close protection team with him all the time and always has, since day one!!

IF someone really wanted him dead it doesn't need snipers either and he's not untouchable, but it's not in anyone's interests to kill him off either and make him a martyr.

He's not getting what he wants and is still acting like a spolt child and the best thing that a spolt child gets is a good spanking in front of those he's seeking attention of.

He is never going to take a back seat nor back down either but hey if this is who the Thai people want, as in the electorate well that's down to them, the hyper farangs with no voice or vote will just have to suck it all up whoever is in power in the coming weeks/months/ years pretty much the same as what they have been doing since they opted to settle here. ;-)

Both sides have planned and conducted illegal 'shananigins'.

It doesn't take a genius to know that Suthep (and the red shirts) are hurting the country. And blind, foreign fanatical posters, who take either side, are just smelly gas in the wind.

Present company and even yourself excluded?

The confusion is understandable due a certain colloquial description of Thaksin being used so often, even if it is perhaps not literally true.

I would suggest that the courts deal with UDD and PDRC offences in parallel and in a transparrent manner so that all sides can see justice being applied.

I'd prefer the reasonableness of chronological order beginning with UDD's Natthawut, Weng, et al face their 2007 rioting charges that kicked off the whole street violence that's been going on for the past 7 years.

So where are all the so called supporters of democracy - a keystone of democracy is the right to free speech and the right to protest... or maybe they only come out if it is in support of burning the city down and violence?

The charge of terrorism is just utter rubbish - he didn't terrorise anyone.

That's rich. She tried everything to avoid facing the court. But finally did so, unlike her cowardly brother who's still running!

After the dust has settled and Thailand gets back to being what it was before, a medium sized though fairly insignificant member of the community of world nations we could have the opportunity of some great live TV with a whole series of public trials starring Yingluck, Suthep, Abhisit and assorted other stars of rally stage and screen . Anyone from the UK remember Crown Court from years ago?....... only this will be for real. Of course Thaksin would be the real star but I doubt his agent would make him available.

How do you know about this? Are you privvy to the information on his protection team or are you taking someone else's words as face value?

Have you got the facts at hand to back up your claims or are you just talking speculation and guessing??

I want the names of his protection team, their background and please provide some links to back your claim?

It's fine if you're not able to provide this evidence, it's as I suspect it's just another opinion here on TVF that is one of many that mean diddly squat wink.png

This is a reasonable request of evidence since you have asked the same of me here.

About time. Let's hope the legal system, in the first instance the Police, have the nuts to do their job and arrest this seditious terrorising and murdering hypocrite!

Surrounded by more scrambled eggs than McDonalds serves and yet still a free man.

Clear enough for you empireboy.

The police not arresting them has nothing to do with it. The way the court system works here, the purpose of this maneuver is to give the accused another couple of years of delay before their case begins to be heard. When top level members of society like this are accused the case takes many, many years because the courts allow delays for just about anything. If the case even begins, the prosecutor will announce he has 700 witnesses who must all be heard before the defense begins presenting its side. Each witness will fail to show up on two or three court dates because of "important business" or "difficulty of travel", so they will be lucky if the court hears a dozen witnesses a year. As the witnesses die off of old age, or the defendants do, the case becomes moot and the court will throw it out for lack of evidence. If you live here very long you'll see it over and over again.
