SAKAEO: -- Sixty locals of Sakaeo province filed a complaint against a red-shirt leader on Sunday after he refused to pay them the bribes they were promised.

Three representatives of the locals: Kampoaun Laosao, Jakkapong Duangnil and Wiriya Promwach, told the police each local was offered the bribe from a member of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship to join two protest sites on the weekend in Khon Kaen province and Aksa Road in Bangkok.

The deal was each would get THB1,000 per day plus the cost for transportation.

However, the red-shirt leader, whose name was withheld in the media, called to cancel the deal as the group was traveling to Khon Kaen.

Corrupt to the core and doesn't even honour it's corrupt payment promises. Pathetic.

Only in Thailand would you go to the Police and make a report you had not been paid a bribe!

I suppose we await TV's rabid reds to come along and say they are fake reds shirts and they where planted by Suthep to undermine "democracy"

Actually re reading this the headline is a bit off,it is not a bribe as such but a payment, but the people concerned obviously believe staunchly in the cause deep in their Hearts ,sorry pockets.

Priceless....like the Red shirts ever did have any credibility.

Incredibly hilarious

Which of course is impossible because in the whole history of Earth there never has been a false-flag operation.

I for one think, again, as with some few but careful posts in Thai Visas, that this is very clever stuff. The yellows are out-propagandising the reds by miles with this subtle, black stuff. I suspect there's a mastermind and of course there are ALWAYS useful idiots to buy into it, not least of all right hear. But the core group behind this is quite good, actually. The health-service van one was excellent. This one is pretty good - as many comments attest.

This is so funny, one side you got people saying they are for democracy, respect my vote ect, while in reality they are all bought by the red leaders. This is an other clear example of it.

Then the other side anti goverment people pay so Suthep can go on protesting.

Then you wonder who is right and where the heart is.. obviously not with the paid for mob, but those who pay to help the protest and face bombs and such.

Now understand why the PTP is in a hurry for the elections - they want one before the price goes up again. 1000 Baht a day, is that inflation or difficulty in recruiting.

thanks for that, and by the fact you put democracy in inverted comma's suggested to me that you are indicating that the reds are not really a democratic organization or trying to maintain true democratic principles ?

It nice to see a rabid red finally admitting that Thailand under the PTP is not a true democracy, you may come to your senses yet...but well done none the less...

Yellows don't get paid, no way Jose.... but wait, they were paying 800b a day in my locale a few months ago, picking people up in pick-ups and heading for Suthep's Walks for Fascism Reform, and offering it to all and sundry.

Could we see some real proof of that ?

Strange no stories of that in the news but the reds all the time with stuff like this.

So either it does not happen with the yellows or it happened many many more times with the reds why it gets discovered more.

Either way reds are nothing more then rent a mob while the yellows pay for pleasure to protest really stand behind their choice and ideology.

Is not a bribe if its above board hiring like that. Bribes are done under the table.......just saying......

Only in Thailand would you go to the Police and make a report you had not been paid a bribe!

And you'd have to bribe the police for them to do anything about it lol

Its just a rent of mob nothing more and obviously finances are getting low or they are just real cheap and cheat their own followers.

TRUTH WILL OUT IN THE END, so much for the redshirts "we don't get paid" and the joke is this time they didn't cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Agree. The point thou is not the hiring or bribing but the credibility when the criminals like Jutaporn tell their usual bull crap that the Reds are there supporting their beliefs and ideology when in reality they are there for a wage.

Purely speculation, But where are the reds getting the money for this, I wonder if rice money is involved?

Some things never change.

You're so so right siamploee, some things never change. The same old people have brain fade whenever they see this video.

Did you forget to add the rider that this is from March 2010 and shows payoffs to pick-up drivers for fuel and food for taking red shirts to a rally?

The coconut is even worst that Khaosod. You believe coconut, you believe anything.

If he is right then he is saying that the difference between the "reds" and the "yellows" is that the yellows keep their promises because there have been no complaints to the police - who knows he maybe right ................ just saying, whistling.gif
