Tarit expects several PDRC leaders to be arrested in two days

BANGKOK: -- Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdith expressed confidence Thursday that police would be able to arrest leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee, who are wanted by arrest warrants, in two days.

On Wednesday, the Criminal Court approved arrest warrants for 30 leaders and key members of PDRC on insurrection charges as requested by the Attorney General.

Tarit said police would focus on arresting those who are not protected by guards and police are monitoring them to make arrests.

"They are still elusive because they have not returned home or returned to stay where they used to stay. We are tracing them and we expect that we will capture them in one or two days," Tarit said.

BANGKOK, 15 May 2014 (NNT) - The Department of Special Investigations' (DSI) Chief has disclosed that police assault units have been deployed to arrest core PDRC leaders.

DSI Chief Tharit Pengdit revealed that the Criminal Court has already approved an arrest warrant against 30 leaders from the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) and the Students and People's Network for Thailand’s Reform (STR), who are all accused of insurrection.

At this point, the police are searching for at least 20 PDRC leaders who haven’t been frequenting the rally sites and are not well protected by guards like the other core leaders. He expects that the police would be able to apprehend a few PDRC leaders within a matter of a day or two.

Could this possibly mean that these 20 'non core ' members are not actually active ... with all these announcements of PDRC leaders I have to wonder. How many are there?

I find it amazing that everyone seems to expect results according to what TVF members expect being experts in such operations eh?

If it happens it happens, if it doesn't no big deal tomorrow is another day and another final battle ;) both sides talk shit !!

Tarit, Calerm, and the rest of CAPO have got to be the most useless humans on the earth. Make threats and nothing, make more threats, and nothing. How can these idiots even show their face in public?

Yada yada; and the bullshit goes on. If they can't do anything useful why don't they just stay silent and let everyone think they don't exist. After all; for all the good they do they may as well not !

I thought Chalerm said an elite squad of paratroop hard guys were going to be rounding up these miscreants. Surely they will not be deterred by a few hired guards?

I think that the elite paratrooper thing was ploy to confuse them so that they would be looking to the sky, when Ninja Turtles came up from the drains and canals and grabbed them.

They will swing into action, just as soon as they finish their shift as security guards for the PDRC thumbsup.gif
