Miss Universe Thailand Calls Redshirts "Dirty"

Recommended Posts

My wife is a staunch Red Shirt, and not a picture of Dr. T around. She doesn't like him.

If she truly didn't like him, she wouldn't be a staunch supporter of the reds. Just not possible. Like someone saying they are a staunch supporter of cannibalism but against the killing of people.

Umm. I think now there are Red's and UDD red's. If UDD red's then yes they are Thaksin's lapdogs. Others not so much and some actually show a dislike of all things Shinawatra.

Maybe they should choose a different colour or go two tone!

I bet she can name the 15 principles of democracy which automatically makes her smarter than 99.9% of red shirt supporters!

Well done to her and under a democratic umbrella she is allowed to have an opinion.

Unless the red shirts have made opinions that don't suit their agenda illegal now?

Don't answer that one Chalerm!!!

I have so missed mr 15 with his own democracy that has to be followed and never explained.

Is number 1 still elections?

You support them. You describe them. If not then why support the PTP?

The best thing about this article is that I can add it to my list of entities, people and organizations the PTP/UDD demonize because of their perceived hatred for "red democracy."

The Thai beauty patent judges, the World bank, Moody's, UNHCR, Human Rights Watch, the Environmentalists, the corn farmer, rubber farmers, rice farmers, medical association, rural teachers, academics, Supa, global economists, IMF, private banks, GSB, the EC, AoT, the courts, military, bangkok middle class, business owner, state enterprise staff, Buddhist monks, civil servants, labor unions, Green Politics group, Thai Constitution Protection Association, The Thai press, NIDA poll, Bangkok Poll.

Sources please that each and every one of these "hate red democracy".

Or your post is BS, like the majority of your posts.

In 3 years we have seen the proof and with each OP I have added a new entity, but because you cannot accept it you put the "burden of proof" on me.

You prove the above list is "friends" of the PTP and we will talk. Lets start with the Thai beauty pageant judges which is the latest one I added to the list because of the above OP.

Until then lets suggest facts override beliefs.

We foreigners are always being told that the Thai way is to behave politely and serenely at all times but it seems we have a case of 'do as I say not as I do' here.

But it is only a 'Miss Contest' as they say here and judging from her scarcely believable profile (a twenty two year old university student who is also an accomplished actress and talk show host ?) we shouldn't take too much else says too seriously either. smile.png

I suppose we can expect a raft of redshirt defamation suits to be filed tomorrow although estimates of how many of course depends on your politics. wink.png

If she's Thai "educated" she can't name the 3 Stooges, or the 3 bears, and I seriously doubt she's even heard of the 15 principles of democracy.

Whats your point?

I am Australian educated and I can't name a single Thai soapy star in color movies from 2014 let alone Thai movies in black and white from the 1940's.

Is your educational parameters based on knowledge of American black and white features from the 1940's like the 3 stooges?

THAT is Thailand's pick for the Miss Universe contest???

Sorry, but I could walk through any of the major malls in Chiang Mai and find 20 girls in each, in half an hour's time, that would put her to shame. As for her "political comments"? Memorized well from the Yellow We're-So-Superior-Elite Handbook.

She, like most Yellow Elitists, think they have a monopoly on "loving the King". My wife is a staunch Red Shirt, and not a picture of Dr. T around. She doesn't like him. But has 3 large pictures of the King in the house, and thinks he's the greatest man in Thailand.

I must have mis-read. Where were yellow shirts mentioned?

You don't have to be anti-red to be pro-yellow. Or if so, change from red to brown shirts and be open about it.

I have to prove nothing.

I never claimed the above were friends of PTP. People can be neutral or they can be one or the other side, or they can even not care about any side at all.

You are the one who claimed something but provided absolutely no proof, so I have every right to call it BS. If you want people to believe it, then the burden of proof lies with you.

But to claim that all the above individuals and organizations "hate red democracy" is absolutely ridiculous. What is "red democracy" anyways? Something you made up? I am not even going there.

"Medical association", what does that mean? There are hundreds if not thousands of medical associations. Are they all pro-Suthep? Each and every nurse, doctor, ambulance driver, etc.?

The World Bank? Where has the bank ever said anything about "hating red democracy"?

Buddhist monks? You mean all monk or just the one lunatic monk that walks around with armed bodyguards and beats up civilians?

Bangkok middle class? The entire middle class or just a few idiots?

You forgot the "high class" and "low class". Are they all pro-Puea Thai or did you just forgot to mention them?

You can believe what you want and add the Smurfs, Jesus and Doraemon to that list if you want, I'm still calling it BS.

A "preview of what's to come if Suthep grabs power" - not-top-notch babes with nasty tempers winning beauty pageants?

Indeed. Let's hope that never happens.

Because if you meant something else it would probably amount to mere hyperbole.

Death threats by Miss Universe Thailand aren't very threatening, really.

Not so concerned about her, but more about the hate that Suthep is stirring up around the country.

Even Miss Thailand now thinks that its okay to execute someone with a different opinion.

Of course you are correct but the regular nutters on here who can only think in terms of Thaksin and are oblivious to the possibility that the approaching political, social and economic nightmare that is gathering pace all around, is now about much more than an ex premier from 8 years ago.

And will accordingly be more tempestuous.

Hope so. It would be nice to think a Thai political party that really represents the interests of the Thai people and drives the political, social, economic and legal reforms the country so needs, could evolve, free from the shackles, tentacles and self centered control of the Shin clan.

Too many red shirt / UDD leaders are paid functionaries of Shin Clan Co, rather than real political activists.

Ummmm really .. only Suthep stirring up hate ...ok then..If Amsterdam wasn't here you would be hearing a lot more from Jataporn etc.

Let's face it.. They have ALL thrown the dummy out of the pram and need to come to their senses PTP. PDRC etc.. stop banging on about hate and start talking.

Are you serious? Your educational parameters are based on knowledge of Thai movie stars names now?

That is PTP logic right there.

Congrats on the pigeon award.

BTW - Below is a pic of my wife in Vientiane (I took the pic) and took the liberty of deleting her eyes due to the retribution delivered on anyone that disagrees with the PTP and UDD ethos. It is with a Thai movie star and I don't know his name? I must be dumb heay? So apparently I don't qualify for a red shirt degree or have any knowledge of Thailand because I would rather spend my time studying an online diploma in "front line management" and enjoying my children's company?

It was a Heineken party by the way (look it up) in case you think the pic is as fake as the monks, farmers and anyone that disagrees with you.

So if I can name 15 Thai movie stars then you have more respect for me than if I can name the 15 principles of democracy?

Go figure!

I watched the contest the other night. I thought most of the contestants were less beautiful than an average market stall girl. And all so white. I don't think there was one dark skinned lady in the line up.

Thats because they have showers and shower before the contest and whitening cream given out on daily basisthumbsup.gif

Thai politicians pack some nasty rhetoric, which seems to normalize violence and to make rifts harder to bridge.

That doesn't really mean others (such as us, for example) have to emulate this, or blow things out of proportion

with what we post.

Mind, could have easily been a Miss Universe Thailand with opposite political leanings, and then we'd have a

mirror image of this topic smile.png

Getting a bit fundamental when a miss world contestant says uber stupid things like this.

so when shes interviewed and has to describe her loving personality and care of others etc etc as a worthy contender hows that fit in with her hate rubbish ?

Stupid girl just risked herself and left her family wide open to retaliation and blowback... way to go

If anyone thinks its ok to spout this rubbish and promote the belief that a particular group is less than others that is no better than calling all blacks thieves or women unequal.

She clearly dosnt have two brain cells to rub together whatever uni shes in.

As for posters who think shes doing the right thing or being responsible posting on social media her opinions you clearly havnt thought about it or how stupid these comments are... both for herself and her family and possibly others around her.

Sad to see how stupid people can be and how the young just spout anothers rhetoric without thinking.

she is still very young and also ignorant to quickly comment on politics.

Young? yes, ignorant? no

She is simply reflecting her surroundings and what has been said around her, either within the family or friends.

Trust me. If the Smurfs, Jesus and Doraemon was in an OP offering criticism or advice for the PTP and the PTP/UDD demonized them they will be on the list as well. I add to the list as the OP's and the TVF members denounce them.

Like I said, lets start with the Thai beauty pageant judges or is that putting you on the spot?

Are the beauty pageant judges against the PTP now? Is it a conspiracy by the beauty pageant?

Most importantly, did the red shirts demonize the beauty pageant because of the winners democratically allowed opinion? Remember that elections are, but one principle..There are others you know...

Yep….Thus why the judges of the beauty pageant are added to the list.

I can guarantee the list will get bigger every month too as it has for the past 3 years.

Watch this space Shannon.

Don't answer that one Chalerm!!!

Executing people you don't like may not be one of the 15 principles of democracy so in strange twist of irony, she's actually aligned with Thaksin. Maybe she'll choose her words more carefully from now on.

Sounds to me like she's right on the money. However, I question her judgement about posting these sentiments publicly. These dung flinging apes have been known to shut down events, and even attack people who do not buy into their way of thinking.
