Whats happening with the Curfew

Featured Replies

I am in Europe at the moment and was planning to fly back to Phuket for 2 weeks but wanted to find out whats happening with the curfew first.

Phuket...not Samui.

Phuket has a curfew...wait a few more days, and it might be lifted.

Correct, Welcome to the Samui.

No curfew here on Samui and has never been.

Probably don't have any expat, volunteer police to enforce the curfew like Phuket.

few clubs @ phuket town was open last night 01.00..

Unfortunately I had to be in Phuket last week.I spent 75 percent of the day sitting in traffic and the nights being turned out of the bars and restaurants at 9.30. If the bars stayed open the police turned up to close them.

I was glad to get out of there. As said Samui and many other places operating as normal.I was in a bar until 2.00 last night.

Well, my (THai) wife tells me it's over, but:

Apparently a bar was open in Nai Harn 2 nights ago at 1 AM and the police came in and reminded everyone about the curfew and told them it was time to go home.
They later told the owner that it may be lifted in a few days.

I'd believe the police before my wife (sometimes)
