Phone calls to the TCT either go unanswered, or.....other numbers given and said person doesn't speak English or Tagalog. In any event, has anyone heard of a new "date" for the next set of exams whereby a teacher can apply for one or more of the exams, pay her money, and then get her waiver/permission to teach after proving money paid, which of course allows her to get a VISA and Work Permit, all before the end of this month?

Maybe they couldn't speak English, nor Tagalog, because it's in Thailand? Can't you get somebody who speaks Thai to call them, if it's so urgent?

Is it really true that you only have to pay for one, or more of these tests, to be entitled for a work permit and visa?

Would they then issue a provisional TL, after paying for a test in the near future? Just curious.-wai.gif

To the best of knowledge, the TPK tests, at least the ones in English, were abandoned and suspended indefinitely sometime late last year. Consequently, they are no longer an option to gain a 2-year teacher's licence waiver or ultimately, the teacher's licence itself.

According to rumors in another thread, a BEd from a university in Cameroon and a Toeic score of 400 will get you a TL! whistling.gif

The only avenues to a Thai TL that seem to be currently open are a Masters in Education or a Teaching License or Certification from your NES home country. However, this could change in unanticipated ways at any time.
