Kamagra and Customs

Dear all,

A friend of mine in London has requested 100 Kamagra jellies. I said i'd get one box, which is 50 as I am a little worried about customs.

I fly to the UK next week via Dubai and I read once that a passenger was jailed for 12 years because he had a poppy seed on his jacket which had fallen off a ham and cheese cob he'd purchased at a cafe at Heathrow.

I usually fly with a couple of Xanax to help me sleep and that's never been an issue, but a box of Kamagra?

Should be okay but just want to check.

..And it's not for me, honestly. Why would I need it in England?

I'm pretty sure that Kamagra is only available on prescription in the UK.

I would be pretty wary of importing prescription drugs, that hadn't been prescribed to me, into the UK, or indeed carrying them through the UAE.

Also Kamagra is a prescription drug here (presuming it is a legal import) why not get the Thai produced "sidegra" cheaper and at least legal in Thailand.

Kamagra is 24B a sachet if you buy a box of 50. That's 1,200B. Or the uninformed might pay 1,500-2,000B.

How much is Sidegra?

On topic, I know a bloke that used to take Kamagra and Viagra home to NZ by the suitcase full and made a fortune selling it. He got away with it eight times before he got pinged. The result was the goods confiscated and a fine (can't remember how much but it wasn't huge) and he now gets searched every time he re-enters the country.

Im an Aussie and customs and immigration are fairly strict and as some others have said Xanax is far far worse than kamagra if you are carrying it. I also take them when I fly but never more than a strip that you can throw in your pocket. As for Kamagra well technically it is a prescription medicine and under most countries laws should therefore be declared. We however used to bring back 10 boxes each at a time undeclared. After that some of us occasionally got picked up and that's where it got confusing. For Australia I have heard a multitude of different stories for example that you can only have 3 or 4 or 6 boxes you can't have them at all, sometimes they were all confiscated and other times they were found undeclared and allowed to enter anyway. The upshot being I guess it is a bit of a grey area and who you get on the day in customs and their personal attitude towards you and what you are carrying. Not a lot of help I guess but I don't know of anyone fined or in real trouble for carrying Kamagra... Xanax though is another story and Dubai may be a whole other kettle of fish. Good luck though, stay hard... whistling.gif

I take half a Xanax a couple of times a week. I can't sleep well without it.

I know it's not good to be dependent on it but that's just how it is.

Surely one strip in my check in will be okay?

If not, what about Valium?

OP,

Recommend you tell your friend to go to his physician in London and get any and all medications he needs that way. Or tell him to fly over here and buy them and import them himself, taking all the risk himself. You're not his drug mule.

If a "friend" of mine ever asked me to smuggle meds back to my home country for him, I would tell him to go &^*( himself.

Oh, yeah, lose the Xanax before the flight as well.

Get your mate to give you the cash for them, box them up and send then to him by post. If he gets them then happy days if not then he is the one who has taken the hit not you. thumbsup.gif

There are actually some superior goosejuices around who would do this.

12 years for 1 single iddy biddy poppy seed?...really?

The maximum sentence for possession of this type of drug in Dubai is 4 years not 12. As usual the tale has been embroidered...

4 years is the mandatory minimum sentence.

Go to see the doctor when you get to the UK. Don't risk getting locked up in Dubai.

Quote from above link .... "A Swiss national currently serving 4 years after 3 poppy seeds were found on his clothes by customs officials at Dubai airport. He had bought and eaten a bread roll at Heathrow before flying to UAE."

.... Good grief! Jailed for eating a bread roll! I'll never fly Emirates again!

"just the way it is"?

I took 200mg of valium every day once for a few years in Bkk and managed to come off it.

If you want advice on how to come off it just ask.

I have my doubts on this one. Yes, Dubai is strict on drug enforcement. However, all of the reports of this case (including as reported by the BBC) seem to link back to the the same report by Fair Trials International. Note that they only say that is was reported to them, not that they had any direct involvement or any direct confirmation. They also do not provide a source of the report to them. Now, if someone has a report of this (that doesn't end up going back to Fair Trials International), I would be genuinely interested in seeing it. The only thing that I did find was a case where someone from India was jailed for bringing in many poppy seeds for cooking, but nothing to independently verify the 3 seeds story.
