Hi

I've read all the pinned posts , all the posts for a while and the MFA site

and I still have a question.

Up front the recommended info :

I am an Irish national 56 years of age.

I am going through the process of activating two contributory pensions

here in France.

This will provide me a stable if modest income (not up to the 800k/65K

requirements for a retirement visa).

In the future I sincerely hope to be able to call down other pensions

in other countries (like Mae West I've seen places and been things)

but these will come later when older.

I intend to make visa application in France , and have current French

residents card , drivers license etc to indicate France as my country of residence.

I have probably two options ?

Non-immigrant B (but how involved is the paperwork?)

Multi-entry tourist.

This is where I have the question.

When I was in Thailand before , I went down to Penang and got a

two-entry tourist - validity six months.

Two times 60 days plus 2 times 30 days extension equals six months.

Guys on the visa run with me said you could apply for up to six ?

May well be this is not or no longer true.

There are recent posts re a triple entry tourist.

Now say a triple entry equals 3 times 60 days plus 3 times 30 days extension

equals nine months? Valid for how long ?

Really I'm not as stupid as I sound , I just haven't been able to find the answer.

SOME Thai embassies and consulates will issue the triple entry (6 month) tourist visa.

As you correctly state; if one does well timed visa-runs one can make such a visa cover 9 months in total.(last visarun JUST before the 6 months are up). Cheers!

The easiest is to get a one year multiple entry visa in France. If you are exploring the idea of investing in Thailand, we can sponsor you. The paperwork on your end is nothing with our paperwork provided. Send a e-mail to [email protected] if interested.
