Fifa and fair play

Featured Replies

So how can Brazil play later than Holland vs Chile???

Brasil group A started the tournament and now plays a day later. See the rest of the program and you will see Brasil has the most resting days in between games. Why Fifa??????????

Always happens in World Cup. Home team play their games in the first or second days and as the tournament gets to the closing stages will always have the advantage of an extra day or two's rest.

Could just be that this way they get to know who they will meet in the last sixteen if they finish first or second.

It won't make any difference. Fred will lead Brazil to Perdition.smile.png

Yes, it gives the home team an advantage.

However I think the main reason is the timing: the home team opens the tournament, and after that gets the primetime.

The US coach commented, right after his team's tie with Portugal, that Germany had an extra day to rest (it played a day earlier), and played its prior game in Rio (with sea breezes) rather than steaming hothouse Manaus. He put it thusly; 'They put us in the Amazon'.

FIFA & fair.

Interesting title (on purpose I guess), as this is not exactly 2 words one would see in the same sentence.
