I'm just back. Me and the Mrs went and it was actually pretty good. I was worried it would be full of internet weridos but it was OK!

Great location and a decent bar.

Well done Thaivisa, I was sceptical but you've done alright. I'd honestly go again.

Do you plan to host any other special events for members?

Will a members night become a regular thing?

I love that they threw an 'invitation only' party during a military junta. Brilliant way to protect click-through assets...but not really.

Let the butt kissing commence!

When I was at the American party on Thursday night the TVF came up...interesting quotes all around.

I am very sad they didn't invite me. Really. There may be tears and sniffles. I told the Ambassador myself that djjamie disagrees with American policy altogether.

They are losing sleep over it. Really.

To be fair, I think they did invite pretty much eveyone. I saw the invitiation in the newsletter and there was a massive ad on their website. How did you miss it?

there is just some thing phony about two good looking gals in a bar posing for a picture with unopened beers.tongue.png

Maybe because they are Heineken pretties, they aren't allowed to drink what they sell while working?

So, the 'Pretties' are not 'regular staff' and just for the night?

Some photos of the regular bar staff would be appreciated.

I don't have FaceBook to view the photos there.

Thanks

What difference does it make what the staff 'look like', if you're out to socialise, meet farang and get some beer down ur neck?

I don't know where else to ask this ... so here for want of a better place ...

Apart from Brand Loyalty (Thai Visa) ... what is the Marketing Strategy

behind the Bar?

What makes me, as a man spoilt for choices in that area entices me to

have a Pint at this Bar as opposed to any other Bar?

I want to come ... I really do ... just want to know why I should come.

Of course, I wish you well with this venture ... thumbsup.gif

Not nice how you have blocked the footpath. What about pedestrians and wheelchair users.

Mate, not having a go but if you ever have been down that Soi ... everyone blocks the footpath.

It's a bit unfair to call the boys on that issue.

Soi 7 Suk isn't particularly busy.

For pandemonium ... try navigating down Soi 11 ... facepalm.gif

I do not go along with the everyone does it excuse for everything. It has to start somewhere.

So because one breaks the law makes it acceptable for others to do as well ?

. . . and I thought this was one Thai bar that would be "different". Can't wait for the first quiz night.

Now there's a point of differentiation that might attract a few people.

Imagine a few bonus point Thai Visa specific questions that could be included ... whistling.gif

Looks absolutely wonderful and I look forward to visiting the place when I am down in Bangkok next.

It would be nice to be able to meet other forum members and the great moderators in an informal comfortable setting as this.

Who knows. I might even catch up with Fangferang, Dr Bruce and Fab4. If I see you guys there I will buy you a drink in the spirit of reconciliation.

Thanks for the link and pics Linda.

Don't know about the other pair djjamie, but I would love to bump into Fab4 and buy him a "drink", as long as I can mix it. whistling.gif

( * Note to self - Whatever you do, don't gets the drinks mixed up ! )

Oh, I am sure fabio knows I am only joking, what with his marvelous sense of humor and jovial personality. clap2.gif

Sorry I missed the occasion, would have been good putting names to faces, that is if anyone gave you their TV name. biggrin.png

I think you should get rid of the ubiquitous pool tables and put in terminals & or Wifi, serve tea and coffee instead of beer, for all the TVF keyboard warriors. Run live feed of the battles on the big screens... now that would be cool.

Oz

Wouldn't that defeat the object of New Wave being an established pool bar? The bar has wifi, tea and coffee already.

Just what BKK needs another 'established pool bar', are you serious? Building a business around 2 blokes poking balls with sticks is hardly New Wave is it!! I for one actually avoid places with tables.
