FYI Laos national holiday Monday 21/7/14

If anyone is heading to Laos for visa renewal on Monday they are likely to find the government offices closed.

The government have announced a new national holiday on 20th July (National Women's Day).

This year the 20th falls on a Sunday so the 21st is substitution day.

No, because the Laos government only announced it this week.

I am not 100% sure the Thai embassy will close but most government offices will.
