Russian Media Goes Far Out to Explain Malaysia Airlines Disaster
By Carol Matlack

MOSCOW: -- Russians awoke on Friday to news reports that bumbling Ukrainian troops had shot down a Malaysia Airlines (MAS:MK) jet after mistaking it for President Vladimir Putin’s official plane.

Another theory: The Ukrainians intentionally shot down the jet at close range as a “planned provocation.” Or maybe there wasn’t a crash at all, and the bodies were those of passengers from Malaysia Air flight M370, which disappeared in March.

Most of these weird news reports aren’t coming from tabloids or fringe websites. They’re coming from Russia’s leading news outlets, which are almost entirely under state control. The report on the mistaken identification of Putin’s plane, for example, aired on Channel One, the country’s most popular TV network. The journalists never explained why the Ukrainians might have thought Putin was in the neighborhood, since he was attending a well-publicized summit in Brazil on the day of the crash.

So the Dutch and Australians should send fighter jets to the Ukraine border, bomb the hell out of pro Russian locations and then say "we thought those were Ukrainian missiles sites that attacked the airliner like Putin said, oops".

Putin's Russia is a good indication of what would happen to Thailand if Thaksin won. Something for all the red expats to consider.

Is Putin a bad guy?

Why do you say so?

There are other opinions too >>> http://time.com/3005439/putin-approval-ratings/

Russians crave for blood, other countries' land and "strong hand" rule, and Putin gives them all three, thus the approval ratings, but it doesn't make him a good guy.

Kim Jo Il has a far better approval rating as well. I didn't realise he was such a nice guy ? whistling.gif

Is Putin a villain?

“If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Well,  a popular duck?

Putin has been angling for a fight for a long time, because he has the money to do so from Russia's new found wealth from oil and gas.  He has been sending 60 year old Russian planes (bears) off the coast of Britain testing Britain air defense systems since he got into power,   He has been told one day there may be a genuine accident, pitting 60 year old technology against one of the most up to date fighters in the word., Maybe this attitude has gone against him, Calling wolf all the time, this time maybe no one believes him. maybe it was an accident. But his attitude seems to point in the directions of the old Russian Empire.

What else would Russian papers say?

Putin's gonna dig his heals in, and being a KGB Colonel, he would be good at that.

Too late for that, Russian raiders admitted shooting a plane, and Russian media broadcasted that, though at that point they thought that it was Ukrainian. Internet remembers everything.

Yep but Putin will ride this out. Certain of that.

After all, it wasn't him who fired that missile. Just some bumbling fools headed for the Goulag.

He didn't fire the missle, but he handed the launch system over to raiders just a few weeks before the incident. Also it were Russian regular military officers who pushed the buttons.
Everyone will pretend that they are buying the "ride out", but then they will do everything to shun him. Even Germans (namely Vlad's old befellow Angela) can't put smth like that under the carpet.

What do you expect from a country that overdubbed Olympic ceremony prop mishap so mother Russia saw a tapped rehearsal instead of what every one else saw.

All people of their respective nations need to STAND up, approach your represent ive, make you're voice heard. This is NOT good enough, that could of been your mother, your wife, your child.

It's not time to make 'requests', it's time to 'DEMAND' action.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if governments actually told the truth, or admitted their fuck ups once in a while?

There is no need to accuse people of whatever, what should be happening is that the investigation should be transparent and open, so that the truth irrespective of who it implicates is told. If the tosspot politicians just got on with that at this point, that would be a start as opposed to trying to score points against each other, or with their electorate and covering up shitt.

Too late. Putin already moved the launchers into Russia. Pretty much an admission of guilt.

I just wonder what would be the reaction of Russia and Putin if a Russian airliner would have

been shot down by the Ukraine or another separatists (aka terrorist ) with similar lose of lives?

I think you will find these news stories are for internal consumption, the rest of the world is too intelligent to be fooled by these stupid accusations.
