I have a non O multi visa. I got it in April. And I'm on my second entry here in Thailand. My original plan was to get the extension of stay based on retirement a month before my visa expire next year. But I normally go home to Sweden in April. So I would prefer to have my yearly extension in September-October. Should I do my first extenson of stay at the Bangkok Immigration in Sep-Oct then ?

You can do the extension of stay during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries your visa allows.

To fit your time frame of Sept or Oct that would be the entry you currently have unless you did it early.

It is 45 in Bangkok. I use the 30 days because it is more common. Of course that is not a minimum number it is just the earliest you can do it.

And it might be worth your while getting a re-entry permit at the same time - which would then mean one thing less for you to worry about next April.

Yes I will probably get a re-entry multi. I go home to Sweden once a year. And I usually do 3-4 trips to Cambodia or Bali in a year also
