I knew her in Hawaii. She has a girl the same age as mine. they were born on two months apart in 1980. We go way back. No, I haven't been able to speak with her, although I would love to.

The DVD can be summed up in two words “World Peace” It’s simply about people setting aside their religious differences and be at peace. The celebrities Ted Turner, Linda Gray, Linda Evans etc were at the United Nations Conferences and Summits or at the World Council of Religious Leaders in Bangkok in 2002. They all talked about World peace. The reason the celebrities did not put the video as a credit, I got the sense they were just doing a interview at the convention. It may have been as an interview for the video but no questions were asked, it was just a 30 second interview of the celebrity speaking.

Purely by co-incidence I was in Bangkok that week and again by co-incid i spent a morning during the conference down at our local wat in Sam Prac discussing it with the wee head monk.(sitting on the floor drinking tea)

I hadnt taken too much notice (good athiest..like)but he wanted to discuss it as well as UK politics..and kept going on about what a good idea it was that all the differernt religeous outfits,Hindus,Janes,Papes Prods,Muslims and lots of those Swammis with the Yogi beards from India.... got together and.... good for Bangers...etc....well he is a monk.

Anyway re: the conference.. seem to remember that it was well covered by lots of media groups and it would be very easy to do a Taped Video recording of the show,dub ( should that be dubie ) a voice over and suddenly you have turned it into a "Blockbuster"....please come back.. Onuma's alias was/is Jade Yoshino. Not sure how it got morphed into Jade Z (unless he had another alias). Haven't heard anyword on his possible whereabouts, yet.

So, there was a conference. Dubie & company do some interviews with some of the celebrity attendees, then slice/edit/paste together a film. They then promote that film as Starring/Featuring those celebrities.

Little wonder no one has heard of it. Major lawsuits would have nailed Dubie & company had they tried to show this in North America.

It would be a very strange coincidence if it had no assocation with the jadeavassociates credited in the DVD. The fact that the trader is located in Hawai is also interesting as that is apparently the last known address for Jon Onuma aka Jade Yoshino.

Interesting again, as I searched Maria Del Rey's discography, and all she's ever done is some childrens music. No record of her ever doing a song named "World of Peace". Surprised she wouldn't have mentioned the song during her "interview".

Get real folks, this is murder and should, and hopefully will be treated as such. No matter what the guy did wrong in his life, he didn't deserve to get shot 3 times, and not by an jealous ex-GF. On July 2, police officers at Chiang Mai Police Station were informed that an American had been shot opposite the Whole Earth Restaurant, on Sri Don Chai Road near the Night Bazaar area. He was not killed immediately, but died later in hospital.

He was identified as George Patrick Dubie “Daniel”, 56, an American citizen and who had been shot in the chest and left arm.

Pratchaporn Monpeng, 30, the Thai wife of the deceased American informed the police that they had lived together for seven years, residing at a house in Hang Dong district, Chiang Mai. Before the fatal shooting, Daniel told her that Margaret ‘Gina’ Crane, 48, his former companion, arranged to meet him at the Whole Earth Restaurant on Sri Don Chai Road to discuss a private matter.

Witnesses in the restaurant told the police that they had heard the couple arguing, after which they walked out to the parking area.

The American hit the woman and threatened her with a pistol, but she grabbed theweapon.

Daniel ran to the opposite side of the road, but she followed him and fired the weapon in his direction. She then got into a car and drove off.

At the same time that the incident was taking place, Pratchaporn was waiting for Daniel at the Starbucks Coffee Shop on the Night Bazaar and received a phone call that her husband had been shot.

She went to the scene and followed the ambulance to the hospital.

Police officers immediately broadcast an All Points Bulletin (APB) for the vehicle. Police at Pa Tan Bridge noticed the woman’s car and observed the female driver get out and throw what looked like a pistol into the river. She returned to her car and drove off at high speed with police officers in pursuit.

They finally managed to stop her in front of Weera Panich Co. on Chiang Mai-Lampang Road, Tambon Fah Ham.

A witness at the scene of the shooting identifies Ms Crane as the person who shot Daniel Dubie.

Officers took her into custody, but when questioned, initially the woman denied everything. Eventually, she confessed that she committed the crime in a fit of fury. Ms Crane told police that there had been a scuffle when Daniel dropped the gun, but she grabbed it before he could and chased him across the street where she fired the gun.

Sineeporn Phantawong, Daniel’s personal lawyer and close friend said that Daniel owned many businesses in the U.S.A.

He was also an advisor to the United Nations (UN) and a special news reporter of a foreign news agency.

He was also involved with many organizations in the US providing support to those unfortunate people involved in the Tsunami catastrophe.

He had planned to invest one billion baht in land and a home stay business in Chiang Mai and Phuket.

He visited Thailand a couple of times a year and told officers that Daniel had been threatened many times by his former Ms Crane.

From the investigation, police officers focused on the quarrel, which had accusations of adultery and violence.

One of witnesses said that Daniel took care of six children.

He had a house in Palm Spring Place Village in Muang Chiang Mai. Previously, they had often argued.

Until this visit, Daniel had never visited his Ms Crane. She became furious which led to the fatal shooting.

I think I pointed it out earlier, but it bears mentioning again. So many 'facts' in this case are probably not 'facts.' Just look at the thread title. It looks now like he wasn't Canadian, he wasn't a journalist, and he wasn't shot by his girlfriend. About the only rock solid evidence I have seen so far is that 1. He was shot to death, and 2. It occured in Chiang Mai.

A few points, Mr Black Arm Band-

the idea that "she stalked him" is not a fact but simply someone else's opinion that you have taken on and now represent as "fact"

re the gun: again your idea about the scenario is based on the idea that physical size has to win out. What if the guy tripped on an infamous Chiang Mai pavement, and dropped his gun, huh?

we do not know whether Dubie's Thai girlfriend was his "wife" or not, but it's nice that you do feel moved by pics of her grieving, and I do agree with you that many lives have been affected by this killing.

In case you aren't aware the woman who shot Dubie, Margaret/Jeana Crane, is already "off the streets" in jail, awaiting trial. Some of us are able to feel sympathy for her position and to try to imagine how we might feel if we had done such a thing. That does not mean that we want to pre-judge events and try to intervene in the court process. As your post shows, we know very little about what really happened, so

"Don't judge a person in their darkest hour" as another member said elsewhere.
