Brake pads from Maxxis versus dealership

Featured Replies

Anyone have experience with brake pads from Maxxis? Changing front pads is 1500 baht, versus 2500 baht at Toyota dealership. I don't want to pay an extra thousand baht to get the same thing, but have had consistently good service from Toyota. Opinions are welcome.

Brakes for me is not an area to save money. However if they are exactly the same as the spec from the manufacturer then why not.

My local shop want 800bht for cheapies and 1100bht for brand name for the Vigo.

Before I went to phuket last xmas I got new front pads, the rears adjusted, tires balanced and rotated front to back and a wheel alignment for 1800 baht. Maxxis at Naklua.

The local mechanic, who is a ex-Mitsubishi guy, did the oil, filters an belts. Hell, I was busy and didn't have the time.....seriously! biggrin.png
