times must be getting hard  before could see a few hanging off the back of red truck.  now often see shoved in like sardines then 10 hanging out back bumper bar touching road

the worst i see now is the school children in pickups before two rows of seats . next came 4rows.   now 4rows with tailgate down hanging over tailgate.   looked about 40kids in there again bumper bar touching road

imagine  if driver swerved from hitting something like a dog or motorbike the children outback would be like being in a sling shot throwing them everywhere

You really think they would swerve for a dog ? I doubt it.

Pick ups are the same carrying 20+ people to a building job.

I am more concerned about what colour to paint my living room.
I am thinking duck egg blue.
Oh the kids in the pickup up to them, they do it daily in my neck of the woods.
The posh kids take a minibus one seat each.
That's life.

OP, I understand your concerns, but I have never heard of any of those trucks killing any school children.

On the contrary, I've heard of idiot drivers or teachers leaving the kids locked all day in a van, and some of them died already.

I can see those trucks, you mentioned every day and I am amazed how careful they drive.

There is a shortage of these trucks and the kids have to go home or school.

Until we get a proper bus system, these scenes will be a part of our everyday life.

Red trucks. Maybe painted that way like they did the bulkheads of ships in days of yore so you cannot see the blood spatters ;)

most probably the driver wouldn't see the dog anyway without glasses he doesn't wear....

So safety is ensured.

Have a look at today's news story.

I thought that this thread was going to be based on the accident today.

Yes the more they get the more money they have for whiskey. This is why they couldn't see a dog to swerve.

Two park in the wifes car parks they struggle to walk straight day and night.

Yep the Thai economy is dying on it's back, when the likes of KFC drop their prices there ain't much hope.

If they don't wear seat belts or helmets in their own transport do you really think they think about how dangerous this pick ups could be ?
