Would it be possible to take a Thai registered car into Vietnam and if so how much of a headache would it be. I'm thinking of a trip from Ubon through southern Laos into Vietnam ending up at Hue. I've driven into Laos before and know that process. The car is registered to my Thai GF and she'd be accompanying me.

you could take a Laos licensed car in thou.
