BBC3 Bangkok Airport series

Featured Replies

Watched it on I player, yes here in Thailand,by the way they were right you can't buy an airline ticket here with a debit card only a credit card, why? As for the two fat birds ,God they were dumb,

Think you need to watch it again, you can buy an airline ticket here with both debit and credit cards.

Matt would have had a problem if using his girlfriends credit card to book his flight.

Believe it's an airline issue (stolen credit card) that you may need to show the credit card at check-in, not only in Thailand but other countries too.

Try buying a ticket online with Emirates or EVA with a debit card you can't I tried many times they will only accept a credit card

So funny how many TV programs about Thailand all over the world, just because "journalists" like to spend time with hookers in a comfortable room for a good salary..

You can find it on You Tube. I got through half of it on pure will alone, and then I couldn't take any more. I would like to see the production notes, just to get some idea what their objective was.To

  • That should be a 6-episode yawn as the old and wise (and untraveled) on these pages disparage the 'young and the feckless'. This is a show about the Millennials made by a Millennial for the Millennia

standard stuff really but amusing enough

makes you wonder how some people get through their lives; unable to find their passport in their bag, not knowing what 'killing two birds with one stone' means. and getting onto such a state with alcohol. very sad character.

was surprised they let him on the plane - i wouldnt want to be siting next to him for 12 hours

and the thais; the men are shown as effeminate clowns and women grin inanely all the time - even those in responsible positions. if i had a problem i'd sort it out myself .

I don't know, maybe ask in the Travel Forum

The tourist police lady said "debit card, no problem" it was the credit card he was going to have problems with.

How did those two girls manage to spend 5,000 pounds in two weeks? It wasn't as if they were knocking back the buckets at the FM party!! (tastes like petrol) And daddy had paid for the first half.

The guy from Dundee should have been banned from getting on the flight, imagine sitting beside him!!

I enjoyed it. Found it on U-Tube.

I always use my mum's debit card when booking flights (when she lets me), never had a problem.

Two retarded girls cant even add 8+8, one manic northerner reminds me of the Louis Theroux guy, another thick as sh*te blonde bimbo who lost her passport. and some Scot pisshead who thinks he is more Thai than the Thais and whose girlfriend REALLY looks like she "wont" milk him.....................all from the UK.........................glad I left .

Funny Ive never met a happy immigration officer yet..................all pr claptrap.

Best thing about it is they all get on a plane and leave

BA wouldn't take debit cards on their web site when my wife booked a ticket to the UK last week.

Episode 2 Trailer

I think the Thai Airport staff come across very helpful and nice. Cannot hurt Thailand's image.

I am glad that this has been positive for Thailand...as I though it might have been negative.

Just watched episode 2, as last time enjoyed ,so did the wife but honestly half these idiots shouldn't be let out alone never mind going on holiday abroad

Good to see some Aussies making idiots of themselves in Episode 2. The endless parade of gormless Brits is disillusioning.

Watched episode 3 last night, some silly arrogant French woman and her daughter, poor daughter what did she do to get such an awful mother???

Don't usually watch BBC Three much, and this trite docu series hasn't swayed my mind. This is more banal than you get on ITV. Wallpaper.

I just watched all three of the current episodes. Not quite sure what to say.

Apart form the mildly entertaining ladyboy tax refund dudette, not exactly riveting television. Collection of dull airport employees, coupled with a selection of either drunk, stupid or just downright ignorant passengers.

I suppose I was the stupid one for slogging through all three episodes, but enough is enough...back to my Sunday night channel 3 Family Gang, stupid but slightly more entertaining than Bangkok Airport

Deleted.

Moved to entertainment.

Oh dear Rooo,

I don't want to question the decision of a mod but really do you think this can possibly be categorised as entertainment? cheesy.gif

Just watched it, totally embarassing , most Europeans are just your general ''Chav'' types....

Quality Tourists, i aint seen any yet, just Drunks, Druggies, and Chavs......

Hopefully the next episode might be better...

The Mother was drunk, or had a bad hangover..

The Daughter, looked about 16 , she was totally embarassed with it all...

Another Guy, , about 45 years old with Dread Locks, walking about, with a ''Singa Beer'' in a carrier bag, drinking out of it..

Absolute Nightmare........

Thailand does seem to attract the most undesirable types... thats for sure...

The Dregs all seem to filter in here...

I dont know where BBC3 finds these Poms, but I hope I never have to deal with any of them. How can you hold down any sort of job when you cant even take care of your passport overseas or check-in on time to catch a flight ? I realise that reality TV rarely focuses on the brightest bulbs, but if this is where the UK gene pool is heading the nation is in big trouble.

Not only the poms, quite a few of them had antipodean accents. I know accents. The girl who panicked attacked was not English- Oh i don^t like needles, when the poor nurse was trying to put a thermometer under her arm.

The guy with the dreadlocks had a bit of a german aussie accent. Wandering around with a bottle of beer.

The girl who was 8 months pregnant was not English

Some Swedish some French.

I loved the Engish four guys who seemed well informed and well dressed and not drunk.

So don't put it all down to the British.

Oh and the wee Indian who had a hissy fit.

There were some Brits there - but i think they did well.

Aside from the 4 young lads most of them were a bunch of chavs.

Overall I like the show. Not sure why people here have such high expectations of what the show will offer. It's regular people on holiday.

The quality tourists probably came over Xmas and jan. All the trash came along after. 5555

Watched episode 5 and so many Brits and other foreigners ending up at the airport broke, they just can't look after themselves and should never left home in the first place

One guy had 10 baht in his pocket , so the staff at the airport actually paid a taxi for him to the embassy with their own money . He should be ashamed of himself.

.

I have to admit I too watched episode 3 only last night.

It occurs to me most of these problems are caused by drinking alcohol.

Yes, the French woman. Also the 2 Geordies who drank champagne and missed their connecting flight and lost their luggage because they had to get a later flight. It seems there are many others too.

I do shake my head in amazement at some of these travellers.

What about the camera team that jumped in the taxi too. The poor woman had to pay for those to go with him.

Christ almighty, That's a team that work for the BBC an organization that is worth fortunes pouncing a free ride in a taxi.

Funny just how daft some people are that believe everything they are told.

That man who lost his hand and voice box fighting in a war should indeed feel ashamed of himself.

Just not enough interesting material for a series. Should have been cut to a 30 minute programme

"Get back in the line"

I liked her as I hate queue jumping mofos, but she doesn't understand the civilised English way of just "nipping for a piss and I'll re join my wife in the queue".

I can understand her policy though after dealing with the Russians and middle eastern people.
