Cheapest way to get from Phuket airport to Patong?

Featured Replies

With the taxis being so overpriced, is there any way to get to Patong cheaply,(other than walking)?

If you can afford to fly to Thailand and reside on Phuket then a taxi is the most convenient and efficient way to get to Patong.  I don't buy the great ripoff.

Meh it's not too expensive really, it's the short hops around that take the piss in all honestly.

OP, if you will be staying at a hotel you might ask them at what price they can arrange a transfer.

You should visit Phuket sometime woo. The taxi ride is often more expensive than the flight in.

Get bus to phuket town then transfer for patong. http://www.airportbusphuket.com/

Why transfer - get the direct bus to Patong.

The last time I called the numbers at that site 076-328-291, 084-065-2122 (3 mo's ago)  to confirm they were still operating to the airport, I was told the service was not operating anymore due to lack of customers. The time before that (6 mo's go) the operators of the bus arranged a private shared van for us going to the airport. It was 150B. So I suggest you call first.

Shared vans operated by one of the two limousine companies there are probably going to be the cheapest way at 200B last I checked.

And once you get here, the tuk-tuks are often more expensive than a night out.
