FBReader, help please

Featured Replies

I use Oodles reader to read books on my tablet but about three weeks ago it all went pear shaped. I click on a book I have downloaded, click on Oodles and About FBReader comes up. Can one of you please tell me, you are all so helpful (I'm hoping flattery will help) how to enter the site and access the book.

As you probably realise I am an idiot where tablets are concerned aand my husband is much the same.

I will be so grateful if anyone can tell me (in words of one syllable).

Thankyou in advance.

Does every book display the About FBReader page when selected?

Unfortunately, it may be necessary to UNINSTALL the app via SYSTEM SETTINGS | APPS (Manage Apps),

then launch Google Play Store and reinstall the app again fresh.

Some reviews have noted issues with this app on their device.

If you continue to experience the same or similar issues after having removed and reinstalled the app at least three times then it will probably be due to a version incompatibility, in which case you can email the app author direct and state the make/model/OS Version of your device and the issue being experienced with they hope the author can adapt the app to work with your device.

There may also be other 'reader' type apps that meet your needs. A google search of 'similar to Oodles' may uncover some results.

I was using FBreader on my IQ6 phone. I never associated this problem with FBreader, but the touch function on my phone would sometimes become so sensitive it was useless. I then got my present phone Asus Zenfone5 and the touch function is very crisp. I then installed FBreader and the touch function went much like my IQ6, being an idiot, it took me awhile, but I finally figured out that the touch function was great until I installed FBreader, I then uninstalled FBreader and the touch function went back to normal, I did the same on my IQ6 and its touch function also went back to normal, so I concluded that there is something wrong with the FBreader app. I now use Google Books and it seems to work well.
