Just a passing question folks. I was recently back in the UK and my best friend there had just adopted his wife's teenage daughter. It got me thinking does anybody know what's the oldest age you can adopt a child in LOS, say a Thai wife's son or daughter from a previous relationship?

Sorry maybe my OP wasn't clear I mean the oldest age for the child not the prospective step-parent.

There is no age limit, in fact you can even adopt an adult as far as Thai law is concerned.

I have a Thai friend who was well into adulthood, when his maternal grandmother adopted him. Both his parents were dead and his grandmother had a respected last name, plus I believe there was some break on inheritance tax as well.
