Best route.

G'day all.

Some toad trip info / advice please.

I recently drove from Chiang Mai to Sakon Nakhon. No problems, good trip. I followed my GPS instructions & traveled via Tak. Looking at the map it appears that the Tak route maybe not the most direct. Does anyone know if the road via Uttaradit is a better option ?

I will be driving from CM to SN again within a couple of weeks. From Khon Kaen GPS directed me via Udon Thani, no problem. Any advice on the Kalasin route ? Is this a worthwhile option ? Road condition ? Or should I stick to the via Udon route ?

I normally take Route 11 from CM through Lamphun, Lampang, Uttaradit and Phitsanulok. Then Route 12 to Khon Kaen. Route 213 from KK to SN. It also depends where you live in SN, if you live in Sawang Daen Din, you might take Route 2 from KK to Udon, then Route 22 to SDD.
