Thailand Post - major fault with Track and Trace system?

Whenever I attempt to track the delivery status of my latest 90-day address report which I posted to my local immigration office by EMS yesterday, all I receive is a report in the Thai language and not in English, despite selecting the English option.

Needless to say, the Google translator produces completely meaningless gobbledygook. However, it does at least reveal that the dates included in the report relate a year (3100) which has not yet been reached, either B.E. or A.D.!

Anyone else experienced similar problems? I've emailed Thailand Post to draw their attention to this apparent major fault with their Track and Trace system. In the meantime I am in a state of completely blissful ignorance as to where my 90-day report is now at!

I've not had issues as described with the Thai T&T site, it's always worked well for packages.

PM me the tracking number if you like, I'll see what result I get.

ems arrived next day.

Dawn good service.

For international. I use track and trace app on Android.

OP you are right i checked hundred tracking numbers tonight and sometimes I had to try 5 times to get the tracking result in English.

Just go back in your browser and slide the stupid tool again, then you will get your tracking results in English.

I have had hundreds of packages too and it always came out in English.. so maybe your not as computer literate as others or we are just lucky.

I want to give special thanks to the user that posted that app, just installed it put in a tracking nr for a foreign parcel (so far it does not come up) but that is normal it only comes up once it hits Thailand.

I've used it many times in the past and it worked fine. I just received my 90 day last week and it was okay. I just tried it again now and got English 1 out of 8 tries. I think that they have a software glitch since they introduced the slide bar rather than the button.

if so then I take back what i said.. i have only used the slide bar something like 7 times (all in english). Now i downloaded that app and will see how that preforms. I used that ap to track a parcel that has been delivered recently and it was great. So i presume it will continue to do so.

I do at times there are important packages coming from outside the country by ems and then this is great. You input the number once and you can refresh the app wherever you are at whatever time and it will give you the info. Great.

Yes, definitely some software glitch, I think, which still hasn't been rectified. I have, however, now succeeded in obtaining confirmation that my latest 90-day report has now been safely delivered.

Can't understand the purpose of the slider, though. Seems to me a completely unnecessary additional step to what was previously a straightforward tracking procedure.

As I stated in the OP, the year 3100 is being displayed as a result of this glitch. When you subtract 543 you get 2557, the current B.E. year. And when you subtract a further 543 you get 2014 A.D.! An interesting coincidence, maybe?

So yes there is a problem with the site.

First tme for me.

Just noticed that I can reprdoduce the problem when using a private window (private browsing) in Firefox (where no cookies exist from the start).

Can click "ENG" again and again and still the result is in Thai from year 3100

So seems like I have some lucky cookies on my browser...

3100 = 2557 + 543, 543 being the difference between Christian date and Bhuddhist date.

All messed up (wrong way round).

This country, really needs IT expertise (developing and testing).

Just tried it, was the first time I tracked with that slider in place, and results showed each time up in Thai, where previously I never had an issue.

If there is no slider an other website can run an automated program to get the results from the Thai site for commercial purpose. Then getting advertisement on their site while they just use the Thai site. I can understand the Thai post not liking this and wanting a fee for these things. (with the slider an automated program wont work)

This however does not excuse them from failing to make the website work good for English readers.

I now love that APP the other user posted even more.. once you put the tracking code in it will look itself for changes and notify you when. At fist i thought you had to do it all manually. It works great and all in English. I bet most people have a smartphone.

I must say I have been using that app more and more and it is 10 times better as Thaipost for anyone using a smart phone this is the best app ever it give you updates on the phone without you checking for it. The updates are also much clearer as on the Thaipost website. Just now a parcel from Holland popped up on the app. I was almost forgotten about it but the app does all the checking for me.
