now the mozzies start

Featured Replies

as the wet slows the mozzies find stagnent water and already breeding to start there attack which is happening up north

last year a lot of dengue about in area but have found spraying they grow bigger and drive there fang in stronger

now have installed blue zappers as seem to be working better as every day have 100dead in trap

i wish they would invent spray to make them bigger so could punch shit out of them

thought you were talking about Mozart...the other ones are nothing exciting.

I don't know about you but I have learn from the Thais the Clap kill and with a bit of practice can usually kill them with a slap.biggrin.png

Funny you mention the effect spraying seems to have on them.

Remember last year, local government sent a guy around with a blower machine on his back, spewing white smoke/powder around everyone's property. That evening, the existing mozzies seemed especially angry and vicious in their attacks.

I think the spray was meant to kill the eggs thus interrupting the breeding cycle. After few days/1 week, I could sit outside at night, nearly unmolested by the little buggers.

I didn't think the blue lights worked on mozzies...even with scent strips....is this something new?

Oh please ... facepalm.gif

The chemical spray you are suggesting genetically modifies the mosquito ... w00t.gif

At the Farm, it's a typical Thai build ... open everything.

We have an insect proof bedroom for the babies.

On the outside of the bedroom, we have the blue light insect zapper ... kills easily a 100 a week.

But inside the bedroom we get a couple of them, they enter/exit as we egress the room ... they aren't attracted and killed by the same device ... go figure.

In the bedroom, they seem to live in the dark places, behind cupboards, under beds and they love behind the curtains.

Those Bt 150 Mozzie Zappers you get at your local TESCO work a treat and MissFarmGirl is a real hunter.
