Hi guys,

I sent 15 days ago the documents accordingly the requirements of the Immigration Office include return envelope with the 10BHT stamp affixed to Chaeng Wattana (Bangkok).

Tomorrow 25/9 is my last day before expiry, up till today still no return report/mail (I've the registered ticket + copy tracking system).

Questions:

_How many days should I wait after the expiry day before I personally present myself at Immigration?

_One has 7 days after expire are this working or calender days?

_Is it allowed to wait longer than does 7 days after expiry until one received the new 90 days report?

Regards

Immigration advises to contact them 30 days after the report day if you did not received it back.

If it was lost it is no problem if you can show the registered mail receipt.

Immigration website says to wait 30 days before contacting them if you have not received your receipt back. As long as you have your receipt for mailing it you will not be fined for not doing it.

Have you checked tracking to see when it was delivered: http://track.thailandpost.com/trackinternet/Default.aspx?lang=en

Yep....they (IO) received the day after I sent....that's OK now waiting for the return report.

The OP may wish to note for the future that it's now by 7 days before the due date that mailed-in reports need to be received at your local immigration office and 5 THB for the stamp on the return SAE, according to the attached Immigration Bureau notice

Sorry, but I don't know when your att. document is dated (old version?)....but take a look at this link of immigration Bangkok http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php?page=90days

Hi guys,

Good news.

For the ones who are following this topic, I've received today my 90 days receipt stamped for the next expire day 24/12/2014.

Nothing to worry about it's works smoothly......next time I'll try with return registered mail.

Interesting......I just noticed that the postage stamp affixed on the return envelop is an 3 bath stamp, I clearly ask the person from the post-office for a 10 bath stamp (paid 10 bath) but did not check it when they affixed the stamp......no complains from immigration.......lucky me I guess!

Have to keep an eye on this person next time I go again :)

They must receive a mail in report 7 days before the report date. You will need to do your report in person.

The rule for reporting in person is 15 days before and 7 days after including the report date in the count.

As well; I had been led to believe your EMS receipt was regarded as proof the 90 day report was sent by the required date????

EDIT: The EMS tracking works very well. Mine usually arrives at the Udon Thani Immigration the day after it was sent and I even get a scanned copy of the precipitants Signature as a part of the EMS service.

Some immigration offices might accept it as long as it arrived on or before the report date. For mail in reports for offices other than Bangkok you should check with them to see what their rules are.

The only rules I can quote are those that appear on the immigration website in their most recent notice.

Hi guys,

Send 90 days notice by registered mail (EMS) on 15/12 arrived at Laksi (Chaeng Wattana) 16/12, due date 23/12/2015 still up today nothing received.

For me all is done regarding immi. requirements and just 7 days before renewal date.....normally I always get my renewal 90 days notice in time (max. 2 days delay) now I'm worried because of these holidays, tomorrow is the last day I can go in personal (7 days after).....like to have some advice should I wait or better go tomorrow 29/12?

THX

Since you have proof it was received by 7 days before the report date I would wait and see if it is delivered. If you just put 5 or 10 baht on the return envelope ti could take a week or more for delivery.

Hi ubonjoe,

I was waiting for a answer from you....always comforting!

This time I put a 5 BHT stamp on the envelope I realized to late......will see then, many thx!

I put a total of 40 baht on the return envelope and got the receipt for my report the day after it was received at my local office (not CW).

Alternatively would it be possible to pay an extra 37 THB at the post office from which you mail in your report, for the return envelope to be sent to you by EMS? You would presumably then get a tracking number which would enable you to monitor delivery of the notification receipt from Immigration subsequently. I cannot see how this would be possible if you just stuck stamps to the value of 40 THB on the return envelope.

They will not let you pay for a return EMS in advance.

The least I have ever paid for an EMS is 40 baht. The 37 baht as the minimum charge does not hold true.everywhere. It is also depends upon how heavy it is. I paid 45 baht to send my report.

Putting 40 baht on the envelope worked for me and it is the same for many others. As soon as they see the 40 baht worth of stamps on the envelope at the post office they know to send it by EMS. No tracking number but if it failed to show up the post office could find the tracking number.

Update

Received today my next 90 days notice from immi. CW, 16 days after my previous 23/12 notice

Summary:

- Sent 15/12 by EMS

- Received Laksi (CW) 16/12

- Approved 28/12

- Stamped post office 30/12

- Received 7/1/2016

I had some concerns (holidays or 5 BHT stamp) why it takes that long I contacted immi. the person in charge told me next time send min. 15 days in advance and not 7 days (to busy) and regarding my note to update in their computer system she made a remark about this so that next time I'm able to use 90 days online.....will see again!

They let me do EMS return, but I had to use stamps, then they put the EMS tracking number on it. It made it back in one day, and my signature was required, but that tracking number never made it into the system.
